  1. Level Assessment (A1-C2)

Is it possible to get an idea of the level that one person is currently at when downloading the feedback?

  2. AI recommendation on daily learnings

Based on my previous learning and all my previous mistakes, the AI should suggest what and how to do and learn next. And it should provide such exercises directly for a learning time of 30 minutes or an hour.

  3. Allow to redo last phrase with AI

Sometimes pronunciation is not good, or I want to practice suggested (more natural phrase), but I cannot, as the dialogue moves forward. If there is a button to retry - it will give more room for improvement.

  4. Get very specific feedback on pronunciation

I would like to be able to record about 5 minutes of me reading something in Spanish and just get very specific on areas of pronunciation to focus on, with some suggested simple but very specific drills.

  5. Conjugation tables in flashcards

Similar to how you can select phrases, etc, an option to conjugate (maybe present indicative by default, with options to select others)

  6. Practice speaking without conversation

I would like to be able to say anything I want without getting into a conversation. I'd like the AI to repeat and correct what I say without asking me a question to move the conversation forward. Ideally rate my pronunciation. I can then use repetition of the same or modified sentence to improve. I read a blog on Duolingo that said to learn to think in a language start by saying the first things that come into your head (it doesn't have to make sense) and over time put related words together and then eventually form sentences. Repeat as often as necessary for your brain to understand the words without translation.

  7. AI voice sample

Hi team, would it be possible to hear a little sample of each AI voice in the settings before selecting which one you want? For now, you need to choose someone then start a chat with them to see if you vibe with the voice. Maybe it's not a huge deal for some people but feeling comfortable with the voice is important for me. Thank you!!

  8. Missing articles for nouns in the flashcards

When adding a noun from a conversation to the flashcards, it should be added with an article - e.g. die Gesellschaft instead of only Gesellschaft. In German this is very important. I have to manually add it each time in the flashcards. I saw there was a similar request back in February but it is August now and I still cannot see this option.

  9. "More Natural Way to Say It" instead of (or in addition to) "Alternative"

If I speak awkwardly, the "alternative way to say it" does already show me a more natural way, but if I already said it a good way, I don't want it to change it, so I know that what I said was good.

  10. Add pinyin to mandarin

Since I have studied mandarin using pinyin, it's easier for me to remember characters if I have both the hanzi and the pinyin (or the option to choose) in the chat box of the AI.

  11. History-when using a variety of languages

I'm interested in more then one language and it would be better to separate the history. Ex. When I chose arabic, then I don't want to see the whole history about all other chats but only the ones from arabic. Another option could be to mark the chats with the languages used,so that one can look for the history of the desired language.

  12. For Japanese, flash cards should have hiragana or katakana phonetic writing added

I am learning Japanese but not yet familiar with Kanji. In the chat there is an option to have phonetic translation using hiragana and Katakana. This option does not exist for flash cards. Adding it would help a lot to learn vocabulary. Thanks

  15. Lost a whole chat record because the call dropped

Hello, I just joined yesterday so please forgive me if I still don’t have all the features down. That said, I had two long calls yesterday, one in Portuguese and one in Spanish. The second (Spanish) call was dropped at one point, I’m not sure if it was becsuse I stepped into a dead zone or what but the entire call then failed to show up in my history. I wish I could at least see the part of the chat that we had.
