  1. Can you include the definite article for nouns as a option with flash cards?

I find it helps to remember the gender if you say a noun with la or el before it.

  2. AI Stories should include conversation dialog style

As an experienced language learner I focus on reading conversations to learn how people interact in the target language. I would prefer to see dialogs created using my vocabulary list, like a script from a movie. Currently I use other AI tools to create such dialog scripts, but its more tedious to create the right prompt with all the instructions. I am sure it would be better here with your dropdown options.

  3. bookmark location in video / podcast

It would be nice if you could bookmark how far you have got in a series of videos or a podcast so that you can go back to that point and pick it up from there. For example I am listening to an audio series that has 150 short episodes...at some point I am going to forget how far I have got!!

  4. AI voice sample

Hi team, would it be possible to hear a little sample of each AI voice in the settings before selecting which one you want? For now, you need to choose someone then start a chat with them to see if you vibe with the voice. Maybe it's not a huge deal for some people but feeling comfortable with the voice is important for me. Thank you!!

  5. Improve some basic web things

You are trying to push the app more than the web, and I think that can be wrong sometimes. There are many limits in the app, because of the nature of the mobile phone. It is great for what it does, but it is not for serious learners, as it gets so tiring to take notes, add sentences, words, check other sites, open books to copy paste, etc. Focus more on the web as this more tailored to serious learners. Allow us to pick a phrase and have the AI give us examples, as it does with words. Learning phrases is much easier for word learning than simple words. Give us the ability to make shorter stories. Even the shortest stories now, also while using our vocabulary, are too long. Give us the ability a general prompt, and then custom prompts for each different conversation, that feeds on the general prompt. There are many more things, and probably you have thought of all these, and the community has covered them, but please focus more on the web side of things. This is where serious learning can actually happen. Keep up the amazing work.

Is it possible to get an idea of the level that one person is currently at when downloading the feedback?

  7. Use Chat History for personal improvements

I think it would be great if the AI can access all of a user's chat history. In this way the AI can provide better conversation and can simulate better to be a real tutor. This feature can also be available only in premium accounts, I think it's worth it.

  8. AI recommendation on daily learnings

Based on my previous learning and all my previous mistakes, the AI should suggest what and how to do and learn next. And it should provide such exercises directly for a learning time of 30 minutes or an hour.

  9. Conjugation tables in flashcards

Similar to how you can select phrases, etc, an option to conjugate (maybe present indicative by default, with options to select others)

  10. Automatically show Flashcard words in a sentence when they're first introduced or you're still learning them

Flashcards are an alright way to learn things in extreme isolation for me, but when I'm first seeing a word (via the high frequency words, for example), or I'm just struggling to grasp a particular word, they just have no mental anchor to help me learn them. We can already see usage examples after we've revealed the answer, but for me it'd be really useful to reenforce a word's usage in context early and often so I can better cement its meaning and how I'd use it. So I'd love to see more fleshed out flashcards instead of just lone words, without having to populate them myself through stories or custom imports.

  12. Include a possibility to read and then discuss an article

Could you add a possibility to read through an article and then talk about it, maybe by summarizing it, and then answering questions about it?

  13. Hands Free Flash Cards

An auto-play/read aloud feature for flashcards on Langua that would allow the app to automatically advance and speak cards without touching the screen would be fantastic. This would allow the user to work on vocabulary anytime, and especially useful for users with vocab drills as a part of their learning plans.

  14. Shadowing Exercises + Pronunciation.

It would be great if the app could suggest shadowing exercises and recognize pronunciation mistakes. Something like β€œnative-like pronunciation.” The app is amazing, but I think the weak point is the voice recognition. It would also be useful to have small micro-exercises to practice phonemes and correct pronunciation errors. Thanks a lot for all.

  15. Japanese using different readings (Chinese?)

Hi. When doing the Japanese beginner lessons, I notice that the readings in the popup translations for individual words appear to be Chinese. Example: 名前 (γͺまえ) is being spoken as MΓngqiΓ‘n It might be worth passing the target language to the translation's Play/Voice feature so that it knows which reading to use.
