  1. Select two or three word phrases not just single words in chat to create flashcards

Often I want to import a short phrase into my flashcards, not just a word. I can click on a single word and import it into flashcards but I can't do that with two or three words together. Often the combination of two or three words has a unique meaning which is not addressed by just picking one word from them.

  2. Ask me questions about the video content

I would like questions about the story that the machine can easily generate. Ask me questions that I can answer about the story. It will make me speak out loud, adding to the value.

  3. Add images to flashcards

Images would be useful for visual learners

  4. Ability to easily switch between languages learning

It's cumbersome for me (only 2 weeks into using your site) to switch languages. I am working on 4 different ones, all at different levels. I found today, that asking while in Spanish for a created new story from my saved vocabulary resulted in some German words being added into the Spanish and some made up words, too. I imagine you all will work this out over time and as AI develops. Thank you for all you are doing! This tool is amazing.

  5. Full sentence flashcards (potentially joint with pre-existing Cloze flashcards suggestion)

So my suggestion would be simply you review your focus words in flashcards but the mode would show a full sentence with that word. A new sentence would be generated each time you reviewed that focus word (This is different from the button where you can generate a sentence but have to save it to review, this would be a temporary sentence that would change each time). I think this would be good for context learning and getting an idea of how the word is used in all of its nuance in a passive way, which would help you get on your way to being familiar with the word to be used in a more active situation. For example think of the word “off”, you look up the definition and it will be something like “in the direction away of, or being a state of non-operation, or removed from something.” Though you can say things like “The food has gone off”, “He showed off”, “The alarm went off” which makes it a contranym. Same thing can be applied for words like “Get” or “Have” and many others. Which compared to giving long lists of definitions to a single word when you do word flashcards, I think is much more manageable and less ridged to just get an idea of what this sentence means when these words are together in a certain order and build up that pattern recognition. So I feel learning the word in as many contexts as possible would be ideal and help you build up that in a passive way until you feel confident you can work into something more active. Which I think the Cloze flashcard is something that has attention on this site, which I feel what I am suggesting could be merged into it and made into an option, given the framework would be of a similar nature of a sentence being made for the word each time, just one you can see all of the sentence and the other is a Cloze. So the implementation of this would be much easier, if this suggestion gets the green light. I will also add that ideally, the sentences it generates, it would take into consideration which words you “know/learned” or even “almost learned” as well, to increase the chances of it being a comprehensible sentence. Though I get that would increase the demand of the function/prompt and would limit the type of sentence it could generate but I just thought I would throw that comment in.

  6. Follow up exercises on corrections

Feedback reports are really useful, but they are not actionable. Once you make a mistake and Langua offers you a correction, both get lost in the chat history. It would be very useful that Langua had some kind of exam/practice/review mode (with dedicated modules, ideally) where the system retests you on the grammar points, words or phrases you fail during the chats.

  7. Just wanted to thank you for an amazing product

Langua is amazing and I'm learning so much about the Portuguese language and culture. I tell everyone I know who is interested in language learning about it. Just wanted you to know how happy I am to have found your product. All the best!

  8. Ability to "pin" chats so they stay at the top!

This would be incredibly valuable to me - there are certain chats that I keep coming back to (especially long grammar chats, where it's great to have history on what you have/haven't learned and can be tested on), but they are getting buried by all the new chats! The ability to pin one or two of my "go-to"chats to the top of the list would be very helpful indeed.

  10. Use Chat History for personal improvements

I think it would be great if the AI can access all of a user's chat history. In this way the AI can provide better conversation and can simulate better to be a real tutor. This feature can also be available only in premium accounts, I think it's worth it.

  11. Edit or redo responses in AI conversation

I really enjoy the AI conversations, but often I am misunderstood and then the AI responds to something I didn't actually say (usually something that that makes no sense or is not true). This derails conversations and requires me to correct the AI to get things back on track. It would be better if I could redo the misunderstood response and pick up from there again (skipping the AI response to an incorrect transcription). I feel others must face this problem also, so maybe there is a better approach that I am not aware of.

  13. Have a “photo mode”where a photo is displayed and one needs to describe what is in it

Would be super helpful for people who still need to work on developing more vocabulary. Langu is by far the best ai tutor I have found but unfortunately lacks this feature.

  14. multiple words selection in the app.

It would be so useful to be able to select few words in the app as it is on the website. I really like the website version and I hope that in the future the app will have more of the things from website. In general you are doing really good job, and the website version is helping a lot with learning progress.

  15. Adaptive learning: resume conversation from one day to another

It is well documented that vocabulary has to be repeated several times to be memorized. It would be useful if the AI speaker could record the mistakes the learner made from one conversation to another to practice them specifically until it is memorized.
